Weaving was done on small frames, with short lengths of wool.
Here pupils are shown an archive photograph of some of the weaving machines used at Hayfield Mill in Glusburn during WW1.

Many of the Farnhill WW1 Volunteers worked in the local textile mills.
As part of their study day, pupils tried some weaving.
